Edutainment Zone – La Plaza Mall opened in August 2023 to meet the real needs of working families in central McAllen. Conveniently located inside La Plaza Mall, this licensed child care center provides flexible, full-time, and drop-in care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers—with evening and weekend hours to accommodate retail shifts and non-traditional schedules.

We are proud to be a Texas Rising Star 2-Star Rated Center, demonstrating our commitment to quality care, developmental learning, and child safety under the Texas Workforce Commission's rating system.

With a licensed capacity of up to 109 children, our McAllen center offers a vibrant and engaging indoor environment filled with interactive spaces. Children enjoy access to a sensory room, a soft play room, and our unique hands-on SLIME experience—making learning playful, creative, and fun.

For added convenience, families can also use a private backdoor entrance for quick drop-offs and pick-ups without going through the main mall.

Our Early Learning Programs

We provide licensed early learning programs tailored to each child’s developmental stage. All age groups follow a research-based curriculum that builds a strong foundation in language, math, sensory learning, and social-emotional development.

Infants (6 weeks – 17 months): Nurturing, responsive care that supports early brain development and strong emotional bonds.

Toddlers (18 months – 2.5 years): Daily routines that build independence, promote communication, and encourage social-emotional growth.

Preschool (ages 3–4): Hands-on, bilingual instruction in math, literacy, science, and art to foster kindergarten readiness.

Pre-K 3 & Pre-K 4: A structured and creative environment focused on early academics, self-regulation, and problem-solving through play.

Transportation

We offer safe, reliable transportation to and from nearby schools. We are still finalizing our 2025 - 2026 routes, please contact us to inquire!
